[Guide] Applying New Custom Lockscreens

HOW TO INSTALL THEME
The theme will always be a .mtz file. Some might put the .mtz file in a .rar file or a .zip file.
if it’s a .mtz file, do this:
1. copy it to this folder: /sdcard/MIUI/Themes
2. (on the phone) open Theme Manager
3. go to Edit theme
4. then Lockscreen Style
5. choose the lockscreen theme you want

if it’s a .rar file or .zip file, do this:
1. extract with 7zip or winrar
2. then there should be a .mtz file that’s been extracted
3. follow the above instructions for .mtz file

The file is a zip containing different lockscreen mtz's. Once it is downloaded, use your favorite tool (7zip, betterzip, etc.) to unzip the mtz's on your computer or phone.
Once they are unzipped, move them to your theme folder on your SD Card (/sdcard/MIUI/theme/)
Now let the fun begin

Step 1:
Open the Theme Manager app from your home screen (see screenshot)



Step 2:
Select Edit Theme (see screenshot for reference)



Step 3:
Select Lockscreen Style (see screenshot for reference)



Step 4:
Select the lockscreen mtz you want to use



Step 4b:
If you do not see the lockscreen mtz you copied to your SD Card, hit the Menu capacitive button on your phone and select Import Theme



Step 5:
When you select the mtz, you will be shown a Preview screen. From here, select Apply



Step 6:
Wait



Step 7:
You will get a message saying your theme was successfully applied, just press Home to exit Theme Manager, press the power button to make your screen turn off, then power one more time to see your new lockscreen!
